Frequently Asked Questions and Testimonials

Q. Should I get the Model 36 or the Model 51?
A. If you have 18.4” X 46” tires or smaller with no weights in the dual, or do not plan on getting a newer tractor with taller tires, model 36 will work just fine. Model 51 is the most commonly sold because it is the most versatile. If you are going to be in the farming business for a long time model 51 is your best buy. It will handle all 20.8”, 18.4” and smaller with a 1000 pound weight.

Q. I have 14” X 50” tires on 20” or 22” rows.  Which one do I need?
A. Model 51, because your duals will be closer than 7 ½” apart.

Q. Will model 55 work on smaller tires?
A.  It doesn’t work the best. The arms get too long for the smaller tires and don’t fit properly.

Q.  I have all size tires. Which model should I get?
A. You can buy model 51 and the longer arms off the model 55. Then you can change the arms when you need the larger size dual changer. It is cheaper than buying two different size dual changers. (To order the model 55 arms you must call.  It is not available on line.)

Q. Do I have to take out the weights in my dual first?
A. Model 50, 51 and 55 will handle a 1000 pound weight in the dual.

Q. I have 1500 pounds of weights. Then what?
A.  I have a new model 800 that will lift 1500 pound weights plus the tire. You will have to call to order this model. It is not available on line

Q. We are an implement dealer. Which one is best for us?
A.  Most implement dealers will use the model 51 the most. If you do tires larger than 20.8”, you can get the arms for the model 55 and change them when needed. If you change lots of larger tires then it would be more convenient to have both model 51 and model 55.  Since the new model 800 is now available, some will order the model 51 and the model 800 instead of the model 55. (Model 800 will lift an 800 metric tire with 1500 pounds of weights.)

Q.  I have a sprayer with 620 metric and 380 metric. Which model do I need?
A.  The only sprayer the EZ Dual Changer will work on is the 4920 JD. All other sprayers do not have clearance on the back side of the tire and have only 1 to 2” of clearance. The Dual Changer needs 4”.
